So my neighbor’s little classic Honda disappeared about a year ago, and was replaced with a large scooter, and one of the kei car “Spacia” clones. Now the tarps are back in time for summer? rainy season? typhoon season?
Really, I don’t care why, I’m just glad it’s back to add a little class to our parking lot.

I’m confused by this parking lot layout

Me too. It intentionally boxes in #32 and #33. Hopefully the spots directly to the left of those are also assigned to the same owner/renter so you can get to them if the lot is full. This must be the case as it seems the tarped vehicle is ‘in storage’.

Most of the units in my building have 2 parking spaces assigned to them. Some apartments spaces are ‘stacked’ one behind the other to maximize how many cars can fit in the lot. Considering that our building only charges ¥3000 per month (mandatory charge as a line item in the rent) for the 2 spots its a worthwhile hassle as parking spaces can be expensive to rent.
